Lacing up the next generation
Who We Are
Love Our City is a volunteer-driven nonprofit based in Tampa, FL, dedicated to supporting local families and strengthening our community through service and connection.
Back to School Sneaker Sunday is one of our biggest events of the year. We partner with local families, volunteers, and community supporters to help kids start the new school year feeling confident, prepared, and proud — with fresh sneakers for day one.

The Mission
Last year we blessed 400 kids with brand new Nikes. This year we're reaching for 500. Every pair matters. Every child matters.
Families register online and provide proof of financial need — our team reviews every submission to make sure the sneakers reach the kids who need them most.

Get Involved
Whether you are giving as an individual, a small business owner, or a large company — there is a place for you here. Every dollar, every pair, every partnership directly puts sneakers on the feet of a child in Tampa who needs them.
Individual
Want to help on your own? Shop our Amazon Wish List with a specific child's name and shoe size, purchase sneakers directly through our Google form, or make a financial contribution toward our fundraising goal. Every little bit moves us closer to 500 pairs.
Business & Corporate
Align your brand with a cause that matters to Tampa. Corporate sponsors receive real visibility and recognition in return for their support — and the opportunity to show their community who they really are.

Sneaker Sunday 2025
400 kids. Countless smiles. This is why we do it.

Our Process
Every pair of sneakers goes to a Tampa child who truly needs them. Our team reviews every registration carefully to make sure we are reaching families with real financial need — no gatekeeping, just honest verification.
Families complete a short online registration with the child's name, age, and shoe size.
Submit documentation of financial need (SNAP/EBT, Medicaid, or a similar assistance program). Child must be present in Kids' Ministry during the scheduled service to receive their sneakers.
Our volunteer team reviews each application personally to confirm eligibility and reach out with any questions.
Approved families are invited to Sneaker Sunday on August 2, 2026 at Crossover Church to receive their sneakers.
Eligibility is based on demonstrated financial need. Registration opens closer to the event — follow us on Instagram for updates.
